Mary Cobb

Obituary of Mary Louise Cobb

Our Mother Mary Louise Cobb, of Kingsport (formerly of Morristown) went to her heavenly home on March 14, 2024. She was born in Tryon, NC.

She overcame so many obstacles throughout her life until one of those obstacles became too much for her to battle. She was a devoted mother who loved her children with an unwavering love and kindness that would stay with them forever. Her passing will leave a large void in the hearts of her family, friends and all who knew her.

We will miss our mother always, but we are grateful that she is now free of any pain and suffering. We know she will always be by our side no matter what.

Our mother was born on May 20, 1956, to her amazing mother the late Margaret “Beatrice” Klepper Eidson. We are thankful that from mommas early age, her mother married an amazing man, Junior Eidson, that raised her as his own.

Our mother was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Speedwell Baptist Church, Persia, TN. She was a member of the Jefferson Coffee League and East TN Lakeway. Momma was an avid bowler and loved her bowling family so much. Momma was always crafting, knitting, or making jewelry. She was a diehard fan of VOLS and Dale Earnhardt. Momma’s message to her family and friends is: “Live everyday as though it’s your last”.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, William Klepper Sr. and Carrie Jane McFarland Klepper; sister, Althea Lee; sister at heart, Regina Tilley; aunt Georgia Kenner (She loved so dearly); her dog, Carly; her bird, Charlie; along with many other aunts, uncles, family and friends.

She is survived by her son, David Cobb (Tina); daughter, Tracy Wilkins (Mark); father of her children, Don Cobb; grandchildren, Johnathan Cobb (Anthony), Matthew Cowden, Zachary Cowden (Liza)Aubrey Cobb (Kyle), Avery Cobb (Isabella), Aaron Cobb (Riley), Grace Jones (David), Jessy Smith (Nicky), Chelsey Evan (Conner); great grandchildren, McKinlee Blake Cobb, Gerald, Ayden, Emma, Dominick, Blake, Dylan and Skyler; her “pop” Junior Eidson; sister, Rae Eidson; brothers, Tony Eidson (Tammy), Ronnie Klepper, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members; her bird, Tink; and several grand doggies.

The family will receive friends from 5 pm to 7 pm on Monday March 18, 2024, at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport. A funeral service will follow with Chaplain Tom Edwards officiating.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Wexford House and Amedisys Hospice for their care, comfort, and friendship to their mother.
